DofE Open Expeditions
Giving you more opportunity
If you are unable to do your DofE Expedition though your school or centre or are unable to make their dates, an open expedition is the option for you. We currently have Bronze, Silver and Gold walking expeditions available.
It is a great way to meet and work with new people also on their DofE journey.
Bronze Expeditions
Location: Barley/Pendle
Qualifying - Barley, Pendle - Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th October 2025
We offer a two day Qualifying Expedition for those who have completed training and practice expeditions. The cost is £120 (inclusive of VAT)
£40 deposit required when booking and full payment is required 4 weeks before the expedition.

Silver Expeditions
Location: Pendle/Forest of Bowland
Silver Practice - Barley, Pendle - Friday (evening) 10th October - Sunday 12th October 2025
We offer 3 day practice (first day evening only) costing £150 inclusive of VAT
£40 deposit required when booking per expedition and full payment is required 4 weeks before the expedition.

Gold Expeditions
Location: Lake district
Gold practice - Coniston, Wednesday (evening 13th August - Saturday 16th August 2025
Cost £310 (inclusive of VAT)
£60 deposit required when booking per expedition and full payment is required 4 weeks before the expedition.
