Introduction to Night Navigation

Outline of the Evening

We will meet at the car park at 6pm (this may vary slightly depending on the time of year). We will begin with a briefing and head out for around 3.5 - 4 hours. Please bring warm outdoor appropriate clothing, some snacks and a drink. Head torches, maps and compasses will be provided for the evening.

Course Content

This course will give you the skills needed to effectively navigate in the dark or in poor visibility. You will need to be confident using a map and compass to get the most out of this course but it is open to anyone even if you're just interested in being introduced to night navigation. It is a good option for anyone working towards their Hill and Moorland Leader or Mountain Leader qualifications.
