Leading Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions

Course Content

This is 3 day course and covers the content of the Basic Navigation course with the addition of supervision strategies, managing multiple groups, camp craft and stove safety. Come and learn from our team who have over 20 years experience running Duke of Edinburgh.

There is a 2 hour online session prior to the course. On the first full day we will meet at the campsite at 10am and head out for a walk looking at basic navigation skills, returning to learn about the campsite, camp craft and stove safety. The second day we will focus on supervision, safety and managing multiple groups on their Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. The third day will assess your navigation and you will lead a leg.
